I got me some wise words, in the form of poetry. (I've been reading and burning my new Yankee Candle with a delicate plumeria scent. Notice the cute draft excluder on top of the glass jar? That's a neat thing.
I'm a word person. I turn to the writings of other people when I need or search something. I seem to be on a life long quest to find just the right words. A little while ago I was talking with a friend of mine about my mind turning itself over and over around with the question "I'm over 35, have I made wise choices in life?"
The little book (titled 101 poems that could save your life) is a collection of funny, wise and touching poems. Of course it contains one of my favorite poems which I'm sure is a favorite of about 10 million other people in the world as well, which doesn't diminish its appeal in any way. The road not taken (by Robert Frost) still reassures me a bit that the road I've taken has been the one meant for me. Oh, life, an ever-changing thing. Oh, restless mind, you know.
Another friend pointed me towards the books by Alexandra Stoddard
whose thoughts are gentle and warm, yet insightful. I share her beliefs on the importance of trying to live a simple life and on focusing on the most important things. On my wish list is her book "Things I Want My Daughters To Know". Edit: what the heck happened to the line spacing?

I've just added that book of poems to my long long list of books to read. Thanks for sharing! That poem is a favourite also.
